30day Fit Challenge: Day 13

Nearly any weight loss plan I start goes smoothly at the beginning; probably because I’m fired up and eager to do what it takes to reach my goal. I’m now 13 days in and beginning to feel as though my inner spark is slowly dying. I feel great, energized, and strong but I want to see results now! They say it takes 4 weeks for you to notice changes in your own body, and 8 weeks for close friends to notice. I’m just losing patience; but patience is one thing I don’t have much of.

I’m at a crossroads and I have to decide whether to give in to my temptations or continue down the path of my 30day challenge. I cannot give up. I will not give up. I can’t forget how eating sugar and processed foods make me feel crappy. I also can’t lose sight of how amazing I feel already and it’s only been a week and a half. Proof that what we put into our body profoundly affects how we look and feel. I expect to see results at the end of my 30day challenge and hopefully then incorporate some of my new routine as part of my lifestyle.

I’m feeling extremely hungry today, so I treated myself to a rather large but healthily satisfying lunch from the salad bar at Longo’s Market (my go to when I don’t have time to pack a lunch).

1 boiled egg

¼ avocado

1 cup asparagus

3ounces of chicken

2 button mushrooms

Diced tomato

Today’s Workout

I got caught up running errands this evening so skipped over the sprints… oops! I know. Excuses, excuses. I’ll definitely do some tomorrow.

Weights: Back/Biceps

I’m starting to think Back day might just be my favourite day.
